Chris DeBurgh got it right when he wrote and sang "I never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight, I never seen you shine so bright...lady in red". Lady in Red is the classic song he originally wrote in 1986 when he recognized that often people never quite appreciate and take for granted the most important person in their lives.
Many of the ladies at the 2011 Emmy Awards remembered Chris DeBurgh's lyrics and wore red...dresses and jewels!

Kate Winslet wore a scarlet dress with a deep V-neck, Kerry Washington was elegant in a strapless, form-fitting crimson gown, Lea Michele's red dress was backless and Connie Britton wore a flowing chiffon fiery red gown.
Red jewels were part of the Emmys as well. When we think of red jewels we think of ruby. Anna Torv wore dangling carved ruby drop earrings totaling 80 carats of rubies!

Rubies are spectacular. Here's a very special ruby. It is from Thailand and weighs in at just under 5 carats. Roger purchased this ruby from an estate and then did a re-cut to bring out the incredible beauty. Wow...lady in red!
